This was our group pitch of our trailer plot.

When we got placed into groups based on our inidividual plots, we sat down as a three and read each others plot and talked about the strengths and weaknesses and what would and what would not work. All three plots were detailed and possible, but one we all agreed on was Jordans. We based our original idea around his plot, however after discussing any issues we found out that War of the Roses would not appeal our target audience as the audience may not have learnt about it at school etc.
Also during our research we discovered that the actors need to reflect on the age of your target audience, or the majority of them and we thought our actors may not know about War of the Roses either. Instead of the War book we researched online and discussed with one another that a Diary could have the same affect. We thought of many ideas of how we could use the Diary and what we could use it for, whether we wrote in it, blood was dripped in it, a ghost was writing in it or it was superstition. 

The original plot we agreed on but was going to change the code of egnigma- Diary. 

A group of  foreign investors buy a plot of green land next to a small country road, their plan is to build two rows of houses opposite each other with a street separating the houses, little did they know this was the site of a battlefield during the War Of The Roses.

The film follows the Robinson's, a family of four with two daughters 'start fresh' in the estate, it follows them befriending a family living opposite and living life normally,  when all of a sudden things aren't right, the families start to get sleepless nights, start having abnormal dreams and start hearing strange noises, one thing though is that all of these things link together.

On the third day, Rose, the youngest daughter of the two, stays over the neighbours house, at roughly 1am she hears the sound of metal clanking together, obviously traumatized with the sound she screams and wakes up the other girl , they all look out the window to see two men in armour fighting, the young children of both the families realise that it's their Dads fighting, but don't get any wounds because they are ghosts, although they alerted the brother, he swears he couldn't see anything.

On the sixth day the youngest child of the Robinson family is playing in the garden when she comes across a mud mound, she decides to dig into it when she finds a small book about the War of the Roses, meanwhile, the Dad comes home from the neighbours house at 11pm with a family friend who was staying for a few days, after watching the football match, the Dad mentions to the neighbours Dad about the book the daughter found, he too is curious, but little did they know that finding the book meant that trouble would arrive soon.

On the eighth day, the final day the Robinson's family friend stay; he hears the whole family get up during the night, shouting things such as “Fight!” he looks out of the window to see every family in the street getting up, with this he runs out of the guest room and notices the family all dressed in uniform and equipped with swords running out of the front door. He decides to follow them and hide behind a bush, he examines that each row of houses is fighting against each other. he is caught by the opposite family (in which their side of the road are wearing different uniform to everyone on his side of the road) because he's on the opposite side to them, he is surrounded by the ghosts, around the entrance of the house, to which he runs into the house and jumps off the balcony, falling to his death.

Over the summer holidays I had to create a trailer plot that I think would work in a real film trailer. I had to watch movies and trailers of a similar genre to follow the same type of codes and conventions.

It was a cold, foggy evening, lights were flickering in the Jones’ old creaky cottage when a little girl who is mysterly nameless haunts a suspected family to whom have done bad to her family that occurred in the tiny village of Llanellen. She breezes through the Jones’ bodies and every time she does so there is a squeal of pain and thunder shoots down. The doors start creaking along with the floor board, the nameless girl becomes very aggressive and the family start to get worried not leaving each others side. The smallest member of the family is rushed into Abergavenny hospital very quickly, screaming and in severe agony.. the family have their suspicions of who it could be but they cannot be exact. The atmosphere in the village becomes really ery, a neighbour becomes paler, thinner and weaker, is it just the mystery girl or is it the family? The wind blows heavily and there is a cooing sound gas lamps flicker a faint noise of a boy crying and a girl laughing, no one knowing what has happened.. Music starts blaring and the characters in the street just stop dead, no movement but stone cold. The jones’s teenager appears home but has changed he is not the normal 8 year old child anymore.. his eyes have appeared a different colour and his face is as white as a cloud in a bright blue clear sky. His family are distraught he cannot communicate with them like he used to, he is demanding, scary and aggressive towards his family. Its noticed that a few members of village have gone the same way, they group together everyone is terrified. The ghosts become a pack and charge through the neighbouring village, yet again they become pale but this time their eyes turn a different colour in 24 hours they appear into the ghost pack team who become a troop. This is a mystery that needs to be solved by the locals… they call some ghosts experts in but suddenly everything changes again…
